Sex attack on woman in car park

A 22-year-old woman has been subjected to a serious sexual assault in the car park of a supermarket in Somerset.

Police were called to the Co-operative supermarket in Minehead in the early hours of Sunday.

Shortly before, and in a separate incident, a 24-year-old woman was physically attacked on The Esplanade.

Detectives believe the same man was responsible for both assaults and are appealing for witnesses. A 21-year-old man has been arrested.

The attacker is described as aged between 20 and 30 with a tanned complexion, about 5ft 9ins tall, and was wearing a black t-shirt and dark trousers.
