Second body found by coastguards

A second body has been recovered by coastguards searching the Bristol Channel following the disappearance of two men swimming off Weston-super-Mare.

Barry lifeboat recovered the body off the South Wales coast hours after the Portishead lifeboat found the body of a man floating off Clevedon.

It is not yet known if the second body is that of a man or a woman.

The Avon Coroner at Flax Bourton is expected to formally identify the first body later.

Lee Tompkins and Dave Ellams, both from Weston and in their early 30s, went missing on June 23 after going for an late night swim at the resort.
