Chemical leak pupils discharged

The last person being treated in hospital after a chemical spill at a Somerset school has been discharged.

Thirty one students and one adult, from Huish Episcopi School near Langport, were taken to local hospitals on Wednesday with breathing difficulties.

It came after sulphur dioxide was spilt in the science block. Three ambulance crews attended the school and treated pupils at the scene.

The school, a designated science college, is open as normal.
