Gold Cup winner in village parade

Kauto Star parade
The villagers of Ditcheat celebrate Kauto Star's win

A horse which made history in the Cheltenham Gold Cup has taken part in a victory parade in Somerset.

Kauto Star, trained by Paul Nicholls at his stables in Ditcheat, became the first horse to regain the prestigious trophy.

Paul Nicholls said he was thrilled by the win and that it was fantastic for the village as it put it on the map.

Kauto Star's stablemate, Denman, also trained by Mr Nicholls, came second in the race.
