Meat thieves raid butcher's shop

A large amount of meat has been stolen in a raid at a butcher's shop in Somerset.

Thieves broke into the store in Parrett Close, in Langport, and took four lamb carcasses, two pigs, steaks and gammon.

Police are appealing for information about the burglary, which took place between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Anyone who has been offered cheap meat for sale is urged to contact police as soon as possible.
