Driver seriously injured in crash

A driver was seriously injured when his car was involved in a crash with two stationery vehicles near Bath.

The accident happened on the A368 between Chelwood and Marksbury at about 1020 GMT on Saturday.

Police said the man, who is in his 20s, was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol with potentially life-threatening injuries.

The drivers of the other two cars were not hurt. The road was closed for seven hours while the crash was investigated.
