About 20,000 fish have been tipped into two rivers in Somerset to help replenish stocks depleted during freak weather last year.
Several hundred thousand fish died in the Rivers Yeo and Parrett when flooding hit the area.
The floods of May 2007 led to polluted water draining into the rivers, drastically reducing oxygen levels and leaving many fish dead.
On Thursday the Environment Agency began restocking the rivers.
