Wards reopen after virus outbreak

Three wards at a hospital in Somerset have re-opened after being closed to new admissions in a Norovirus outbreak.

Musgrove Park Hospital's Sedgemoor, Mendip and Fielding wards were shut at the start of October to prevent the highly infectious virus spreading.

A spokesman for the Taunton hospital said it had contained the outbreak and Musgrove Park was clear of the virus.

However visitors are still being asked to stay away if they have had recent symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting.
