Arson suspected in fire at church

A fire at a Catholic church in Taunton is believed to have been started deliberately.

Four fire appliances were sent to Our Lady of Glastonbury church in South Street in the early hours of Tuesday.

The blaze began in a garage and spread to the church roof causing substantial damage to both.

Devon and Somerset Fire Service crews used two hose reel jets to tackle the flames and a fan to clear the premises of smoke.
