Draft plans for a £100m modernisation for Bath's Royal United Hospital (RUH) have been revealed.
If approved by the RUH Trust a new oncology centre, new wards with single rooms and a new neo-natal intensive care unit will be built.
Older buildings on the site will be demolished to make way for more energy-efficient structures.
Existing facilities made poor use of staff time and was inconvenient for patients and carers, the trust said.
If approved the redevelopment programme will take six years to complete.
