Hit-and-run crash pedestrian dies

A man who was knocked down in Bath three weeks ago by a car which failed to stop has died from his injuries.

The 42-year-old was flown to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol following the crash which happened in Rossiter Road, Widcombe, on 8 August.

He was being treated for serious head injuries, but police said he died on Friday night.

A 22-year-old man from Warminster, Wiltshire, was arrested and released on bail while further inquiries are made.
