Crews tackle fierce house blaze

Fire crews are tackling a large fire at a house near Chard in Somerset.

Devon and Somerset Fire were called to Bounds Lane, at 1540 BST. A spokesman said: "While it's a big fire, no members of the public are at risk."

Six pumps are at the scene and a tanker carrying extra water was requested to support the crews' efforts.

Firefighters have begun trying to make a break in the roof the building in an attempt to stop the blaze becoming any larger.
