Red Arrows' support for town pier

Weston Grand Pier wreckage
The Red Arrows will fly over the pier on Wednesday afternoon

The Red Arrows flying display team is due to make an appearance over Weston- super-Mare on Wednesday.

The owners of the Somerset town's pier, which was almost destroyed in a fire in July, have paid for the display.

After the show at 1515 BST members of the ground crew will be on the pier to meet the public.

The display will also feature a live commentary from the Grand Pier from Red Arrows pilot Red 10. There will also be a live radio link to other pilots.

Investigations into the blaze on 28 July, which is believed to have started in a kitchen area, are continuing.
