Arson charge after taxi hut fire

Burned out cab hut
A petrol canister was set alight and thrown in

A 19-year-old man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life after a fire at a Bath taxi cab hut.

Four staff members escaped injury when a canister of petrol was deliberately set alight in the wooden office in South Parade in the city centre.

Fire crews were called on Saturday evening where they found the building "well alight".

The man is due to appear before the city's magistrates on Wednesday morning.
