Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run

A pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital after a hit-and-run crash in Bath.

Police said the incident happened on Rossiter Road, Widcombe, in Bath, at 1720 BST.

The pedestrian was hit by a Mazda car, which failed to stop. He was airlifted to Frenchay hospital with serious head injuries.

Police have arrested a man in his early 20s in connection with the incident, following vehicle identification.
