Go-kart circuit built on dodgems

Go-kart circuit at WSM Grand Pier
The go-karts can be adapted to suit the driver's age and experience

A £500,000 elevated go-kart circuit, built over the dodgems on the Grand Pier at Weston-super-Mare, has opened.

The 200m electrified circuit has eight go-karts fitted with four pick-ups to get their power.

The acceleration and 65mph (104km/h) top speed of the karts can be controlled and made suitable for drivers' age and experience.

AGM Holdings bought the Somerset pier last February and have spent more than £1m on improvements and new facilities.
