Driver injured in two-car crash

Two people were taken to hospital after a collision between two cars on the A38 in Somerset.

The emergency services attended the crash, at Thurloxton, just before 2000 BST on Monday night.

On their arrival, one of the casualties had already been released from the wreckage.

The second was released by fire crews using hydraulic cutting equipment. Both casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
