Protest over lack of bike routes

A pressure group is planning to hold a meeting in Bath to protest over a lack of cycle routes in the city.

Bath Cycling Summit is to be held at the Georgian city's Guildhall on Friday to coincide with Bike Week.

The conference will join together public health professionals, child health professionals, highways engineers and transport planners.

"We believe provision for cycling in Bath lags behind those of comparable historic cities," a spokesman said.
