Cash boost for livestock charity

The international charity Send A Cow has been awarded more than £250,000 by the government.

The Department for International Development handed over the cash for the Bath-based charity's Grow It Global project.

The project aims to show British children how African farmers grow their crops in a sustainable way.

Send a Cow was formed more than 20 years ago to enable poor farmers in Africa to become self-sufficient.
