An unusual - and rather smelly - top prize is on offer in a Bristol-based equine charity raffle.

Horse charity HorseWorld is offering a year's supply of manure from January 2009 - with the winner able to collect supplies once a month.

Jess Winchester, of the charity, said: "We thought it would be a fun, but practical idea to donate our horse manure for someone's garden.

"I understand horse manure is great for people who grow their own vegetables."

HorseWorld works to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses, ponies and donkeys in need.

The charity is hoping to raise more than £4,000 in its raffle, with tickets on sale from 5 April.

The draw takes place on 19 December.
