Consultation on school rebuilding
Plans to rebuild or redevelop all the secondary schools in Bridgwater are going out to public consultation.

About 4,000 extra pupil places will be created through the redevelopment, which will cost at least £90m.

Councillor Gloria Cawood, said: "These events will enable us to show how this project will transform the learning opportunities to pupils."

Details of when and where the consultations will take place are available on the council's website.

The schools involved are Robert Blake Science College, East Bridgwater Community School, Haygrove School and Chilton Trinity School.

The money will also cover Penrose and Elmwood Special Schools.

Building work could start as early as 2010.
