Carbon footprint challenge issued

Carbon coaches will advise on how to save energy

People in Glastonbury have been invited to work out their carbon footprint at Somerset County Council's Climate Cafe.

The cafe is part of the county's Rising to the Challenge campaign which aims to raise awareness of the predicted impact of climate change in Somerset.

Solar-powered laptops with carbon calculators have been set up at the cafe on Magdalen Street.

Carbon coaches are on hand to offer advice on saving energy and reducing emissions.

Linda Hull, Glastonbury's newest Town Councillor said: "The climate cafe is a great place to come and start thinking about how we can tackle climate change.

"It's a fun, informal and effective way to raise awareness."
