The brother of a murdered Somerset man has set up a campaign to warn of the dangers of alcohol-fuelled violence.

Two men were jailed for life in 2006 for the attack in Taunton which left Lloyd Fouracre dead on the eve of his 18th birthday.

His brother, Adam Fouracre, now plans to take his campaign into schools in the area.

He said: "There is violence going on and people need to take responsibility for their actions."

Lloyd, of Broomfield, Somerset, died after suffering skull and facial fractures in the attack on 25 September 2005.

Mr Fouracre is also campaigning for more police officers on the streets during the night.

The Rev Bruce Thompson, a Methodist Minister, who supports the campaign, said: "Who knows how many major incidents have been prevented by this?"
