Witnesses said the bike hit a wave and flipped the man into the water
A man was rescued from the water at Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset after being thrown from his sea scooter.

The 45-year-old suffered leg injuries in the accident which happened near Burnham jetty on Saturday afternoon.

Coastguards and lifeguards pulled him from the water and he was taken to hospital for treatment.

Witnesses said the throttle on the water ski seemed to have jammed open and when he hit a wave, the machine flipped over.
