Tor sealed over knifeman sighting

A trained negotiator was sent to the Tor

Glastonbury Tor was sealed off by police on Friday morning after a member of the public reported seeing a man with a knife.

A dog walker called officers to the area at 0830 BST.

Avon and Somerset Police moved to seal off the Tor to ensure public safety, and the area was contained, a spokesman said.

A trained negotiator was at the scene talking to the man, who gave himself up to officers later on in the afternoon.
