Assault victim taken to hospital

A 19-year-old man has spent two days in hospital after an assault in Somerset.

The man was cycling along Wheatley Crescent at the junction of Monks Close in Taunton, when he was knocked off his bicycle last Monday evening.

He was found unconscious in the street and needed hospital treatment for head injuries sustained during the attack.

Police are keen to speak to two men who were seen nearby at the time and would like any other witnesses to the incident to come forward.
