Area evacuated after rocket found
Parts of a beach and nearby caravan park were evacuated after a suspected World War II bomb was found.

Bomb disposal officers worked to make the area safe after the device was discovered in Doniford Bay, near Watchet, Somerset.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said it was believed the 1943 barrage rocket may have been washed up onto the shore by the tide.

The device was discovered by a member of the public on Monday.
