The Conservatives lost four seats on West Somerset District Council, but remain the largest established party grouping on the authority.

The party lost four seats to see 14 candidates elected.

A total of 17 independent candidates were elected - up from 10 in the last election. It is unclear whether they will work as a coherent group.

Labour and the Lib Dems both saw the number of their councillors halved, to one.
