Green light for charity to expand
A Somerset-based children's charity which helps youngsters with behavioural and learning difficulties has been given permission to expand.

The British Institute for Brain Injured Children (BIBIC) submitted plans to build a new respite care centre.

The expansion of the Bridgwater base will allow the charity to improve facilities and care for more children.

Parents and families are trained to continue therapies taught at the centre when they return home.

BIBIC specialises in care for children with autism, cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome, developmental delay, traumatic and acquired brain injury.

It also works with children with specific learning difficulties such as attention deficits hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia and dyspraxia.
