Escaped horses die in car crashes
Three horses were killed when they were hit by cars after they broke on to the A303 near Wincanton in Somerset.

The horses escaped on to the road near Tinkers Hill and were involved in two collisions with three cars.

One driver suffered minor injuries and one horse had to be put down after a vet was called.

Police are appealing to trace the owner of the horses. Roads were closed for several hours after the accidents on Saturday.
