Warning on Christmas fire hazards
A campaign to raise awareness of potential Christmas fire hazards has been launched in Somerset.

The county's fire and rescue service said trappings such as fairy lights, candles and decorations can be fire hazards unless proper care is taken.

Station Officer Kev Hardwill, said: "Christmas is a time for having fun, but follow simple fire safety tips to keep everyone safe."

The service has launched its Fire Kills campaign with a video.

It shows Christmas cards on a mantelpiece, each showing a real life fire-related tragedy.
