Cash boost for youth soccer club
A youth soccer team has been awarded £3,000 to improve training.

Chew Valley Youth Football Club will use the money for ground hire, First Aid training and getting professional advice on healthy eating.

The money, from Bath and North East Somerset Council's Get Funded scheme, will also go towards helping set up a girl's football team.

The club, which caters for four to 18-year-olds, is also a development centre for the Bristol City Academy.

The Get Funded initiative helps sports and leisure organisations to finance projects and ideas that boost physical activity and health.
