Red signs give better visibility
Two week's of works costing £50,000 to improve the visibility of road markings on the A303 Ilminster bypass in Somerset are due to begin on 20 March.

Work has been scheduled overnight to limit inconvenience to drivers, and will start during late evening and finish before the morning rush hour.

White-lined hatching will be replaced with a high-friction red surface.

During the work one lane will be closed for safety with temporary traffic lights and a 40mph speed restriction.
