Riders without lights face fines
Cyclists in Minehead who ride without lights in the dark could be fined during a police crackdown.

Anyone caught will be given the option of paying a fine or buying a set of lights for their bike.

Youths caught riding without lights will face having letter sent to their parents but could get a summons if they break the law more than once.

Avon and Somerset Police say they hope the initative will "encourage people to act responsibly".
