CCTV image of robber
One man kept watch while the other two went into a rear room
Police investigating a £50,000 robbery at a Taunton jeweller's on Monday have issued a CCTV image of a man involved.

Duncan Moore was in his shop on St James Street when three men entered.

One of the men kept watch as the other two went into a rear room and attacked the 54-year-old proprietor.

"It was a vicious, unprovoked attack," said Mr Moore. The three men left the shop and ran into Middle Street where they were seen getting into a VW car.

'Very angry'

Mr Moore added: "I was sat at my desk when I heard the door go. Before I could get out of my chair, a man had rushed through and had hit me."

Mr Moore, who has been a jeweller for 35 years, went on: "I feel very angry that I've been treated like this.

"I feel very angry that I lost things I treasure."

Police want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the raid, might know the offenders involved or may have seen the Volkswagen car.
