Attacked jeweller's fury at raid
Taunton jeweller
Police released the pictures of the jeweller on Wednesday
A Taunton jeweller who was beaten and robbed of £50,000 worth of goods in his store on Monday has been speaking about his ordeal.

Duncan Moore, 54, was in the shop on St James Street when three men entered.

One of the men kept watch as the other two went into a rear room and attacked the 54-year-old proprietor.

"It was a vicious, unprovoked attack," said Mr Moore. The three men left the shop and ran into Middle Street where they were seen getting into a VW car.

'Very angry'

Mr Moore added: "I was sat at my desk when I heard the door go. Before I could get out of my chair, a man had rushed through and had hit me.

"There was another man behind him and he was opening the safe."

Mr Moore, who has been a jeweller for 35 years, went on: "I feel very angry that I've been treated like this.

"I feel very angry that I lost things I treasure, the financial loss and the feeling that the people are still on the loose and looking to do it to someone else."
