More than £8,000-worth of Koi Carp have been stolen from a house in White Mead, Preston Plucknett, near Yeovil.
Avon and Somerset Police said the fish were taken between Sunday, 19 June and Thursday 23 June.
"Anyone who saw anything suspicious in White Mead, or has information about who may be responsible, is asked to contact us," a spokesman said.
The average Koi can grow to 24 to 36ins. The size of the pond and feeding methods affects the growth of the fish.
