Chris and Michelle raised cash for charity during the walk
A Somerset couple have completed a walk from their home in Odcombe to Venice to raise funds for charity.

Chris Worledge, 34, and his girlfriend Michelle Roberts, 33, began their trip in August, following in the footsteps of 17th century explorer, Tom Coryate.

The couple traced the route of the explorer - also from Odcombe - through Europe, by walking and cycling.

They averaged around 18 miles a day and have raised thousands of pounds for breast cancer awareness.

Chris said: "We spent just over a week in Venice which was brilliant. Now we've got to do the return journey which we'll start in April when the weather gets a bit warmer.

The pair are raising funds for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the Wishing for a Well charities.
