Snow closes over a dozen schools
Wintry conditions have closed more than a dozen primary and secondary schools across Somerset.

Snowfalls in the county forced schools from Taunton to Radstock to turn thousands of pupils away on Friday.

In Taunton, Bishop Foxes Secondary, St Andrews, Crowcombe First, Lydeard St Lawrence, Stogumber First, Bishops Lydeard and St Augustine's all shut.

Closures were also announced in Wellington, Chard, Ilminster, Radstock and Wiveliscombe.

Doors were closed at Langford Budville and Nynehead Primary in Wellington, Holyrood Community School and Combe St Nicholas Primary in Chard, Neroche Primary in Ilminster, Kilmersdon Primary near Radstock and Kingsmeade School in Wiveliscombe.
