Inquiries made over Bath crescent
Somerset Place, Bath
Bidders have until 15 November
More than 200 inquiries have been made about a Georgian crescent that has been put up for sale in Bath.

Somerset Place, which is made up of 16 apartments and townhouses and is close to the famous Royal Crescent, is a grade I listed structure.

The guide price is 10m and the deadline for bids is 15 November.

A spokesman for property firm Savills said: "Interest has come from a range of developers, usually with expertise in listed buildings."

New campus

"An idea for a hotel has been mooted, but the predominant interest is for residential properties," he added.

There have been around 40 viewings of the crescent.

The premises are owned by Bath Spa University and are used to house students.

The proceeds of the sale will be used to build a new campus.
