A 48-year-old man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run incident in which a teenager was killed.
Adam Terry, aged 16, was walking with a friend along the A39 near Keynsham on Saturday night when he was hit by a Ford Transit van.
Police said the van failed to stop and drove off at high speed.
Adam, from Marksbury, was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath, but died a short time later.
The man was due to appear before Bath magistrates on Tuesday, police said.
He has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
