Four men have been charged with the murder of an A-level student who was attacked as he left a party.
Lloyd Fouracre died of head injuries a day before his 18th birthday after a fight in Taunton, Somerset, in the early hours of Sunday.
William Tarrant, Ross McCormack and Jay Wall, all aged 19 and from Taunton, and 18-year-old Andrew Betty from the town are also charged with violent disorder.
They were remanded in custody to appear before Exeter Crown Court on 7 October.
The defendants, who were dressed casually in sports clothing and jeans, spoke only to confirm their names, ages and addresses.
A fifth man has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Lloyd was seriously hurt as he walked home from a friend's 18th birthday party at the Taunton Vale Sports and Social Club.
He was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in the town, but died later.
