More clues after reconstruction
Reconstruction
The Volvo Estate was seen heading off towards Radstock
A reconstruction of the hit-and-run crash that killed Diana Phillips on 3 August has given police a number of new leads for their investigation.

A force spokesman said some of the information was of "definite interest" and would be followed up shortly.

The 83-year-old was left lying in Vallis Road, Frome, after she was struck by a dark-coloured Volvo 850 Estate car with a L, M, N or P plate.

The great-grandmother had been visiting her husband in a nearby rest home.

Mrs Phillips died later from her injuries.

Police have been unable to trace the car which failed to stop. It was seen either speeding or driving erratically towards the A362 to Radstock.

Officers are renewing their appeal for witnesses who may have any information - no matter how small or minor - to contact them.
