Spa tours end as new work begins

The spa project is some three years overdue

Visits to the Bath Spa will end in September as work on its completion enters a new phase, the council said.

City residents have been given guided tours of the £37.5m project on Sundays over the last few months, ahead of its scheduled opening in Easter.

But the floors are now ready for replacing and screed is to be pumped into the building from the rear.

Councillor Nicole O'Flaherty said: "I don't want to do anything that might jeopardise the opening date."

The tours will continue until 11 September.
