Architect dies in tree accident
Richard Feilden
Mr Feilden 'was responsible for much of the vision of the practice'
A leading Bath architect has died after being crushed by a tree.

Richard Feilden, senior partner in city firm Feilden Clegg Bradley, was felling the tree behind his home in Warleigh on Monday when the accident happened.

Colleagues paid tribute to the married father of three "who brought enthusiasm and vitality to everything he did."

Senior partner Peter Clegg said: "I have spent half my life in partnership with him, and the personal and professional loss is incalculable."

Mr Feilden established Feilden Clegg Bradley with Mr Clegg in 1978.

The firm, which now has 20 partners and 90 staff in offices in Bath and London, has become renowned for its work in sustainable design.

"Richard was responsible for much of the drive, the energy and the vision of the practice," Mr Clegg said.
