Tropicana revamp given more time

Mace has been told to have its plan ready by 23 November
A firm behind £20m plans to revamp a Weston-super-Mare swimming pool has been given an extra two months to present a fully costed business plan.

Mace wants to build a hotel, leisure complex, multi-screen cinema and restaurants at the Tropicana site.

It had asked for an additional nine months to come up with what a "credible and viable" plan.

North Somerset Council wants to see the presentation on 23 November. The pool has been closed since 2000.
