Pop tickets set aside for locals
Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage
Main tickets for this year's festival were limited to 112,000
Glastonbury festival promoter Michael Eavis is giving people living near the site the chance to buy special tickets for the event.

Hundreds of people from the locality were left disappointed when the 112,000 ordinary tickets sold out.

Fans across the UK desperate to visit the festival snapped up tickets for the June event in 24 hours.

Now Mr Eavis is giving residents with local postcodes the chance to apply for a limited number of passes.

People with BA3, BA4, BA5, BA6, BA7, BA9, BA10, BA11, BA16, BS26, BS27, BS28, TA6, TA7, TA9, TA10, TA11 and TA12 postcodes can apply.

To apply send a postcard only, indicating the number and type of tickets you wish to buy, to: Glastonbury Tourist Information Centre, 9 High Street, Glastonbury, Somerset, BA6 9DP.
