MP joins wind power protest
Campbell Dunford
Mr Dunford and protesters want the plans scrapped
Campaigners who are opposing plans to build two wind turbines at a Somerset beauty spot have caught the attentions of Westminster.

On Wednesday villagers at Cucklington near Wincanton staged a demonstration to coincide with a visit from the Shadow Environment Secretary, Theresa May.

The campaigners claim the turbines are ugly and gaining green energy is not worth losing green fields over.

Theresa May spoke in support of those opposed to the plans for two 100m structures.

Villager Campbell Dunford of the Save the Vale protest group, said: "We take an enormous amount of pride in the countryside and if we don't take a pride who is going to?

"Do you think people in Westminster care?"
