The firm says jobs will go in London and Taunton
Store owner Debenhams has confirmed that 200 jobs are to go at its headquarters and support operations in London and Taunton, Somerset.

The company has refused to provide a detailed breakdown of the numbers of staff that are planned to go from each area.

Unconfirmed reports on Thursday said the number of people that will lose their jobs in Taunton could be 80.

The firm said the losses are part of its new restructuring programme.

Last October, the company posted yearly profits of 168.4m.
