Police have been given more time to question a 39-year-old man in connection with the death of a Weston-super-Mare man from gunshot wounds.
Mr Tinsley's body was found at a flat in Ashcombe Road
The local man was arrested on Thursday following the murder of 43-year-old Shaun Tinsley, whose body was found in the stairwell of a flat in Ashcombe Road.
On Friday, officers applied to Weston Magistrates for a warrant allowing him to be detained for a further 36 hours.
And on Saturday evening they were given another 24 hours to question the man.
Police are appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone who was in that area of Weston between midnight and 0200 BST on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said an incident room had been set up and 60 officers were involved in house-to-house inquiries.
Detective Superintendent Kay Wozniak said: "Crimes of this nature are extremely rare in Weston-super-Mare.
"We believe this is an isolated incident and that this man has clearly been targeted. We now need the help of the public to find out who has committed this crime and why."
Officers are still trying to trace the weapon used in the killing.
